God created people for the deepest relationship with himself and with others. GEC exists for this sole purpose that no one get left out of transforming experiences and relationships that ultimately connect us to God through Jesus Christ and to each other.

The Bible: The Bible is the inspired word of God. It is the authority for us to understand how to live and know our faith.

Jesus Christ: Fully human, fully God, having no sin. Lord, Savior, Redeemer.

Holy Spirit: Sent by the Father and Son to convict of sin. He lives in every believer and is a constant helper.

Humanity: Created in God’s image, fallen into sin, of great value to God.

Sin Nature: Inability of all humans to be totally right and do right according to God's perfect moral character..

Salvation: God’s grace in Christ forgives our sin and gives eternal life. Those who confess and repent from their sin, trusting in Jesus Christ, will be saved by grace.

Church: God’s people led by the Spirit of Christ to do God’s work and learn from each other to live in God's kingdom.

Future Hope: Christ Jesus returns to judge the world and take all believers to be with Him.

Equipping people to live the gospel joyously!

All ministries we do at Glasgow Evangelical Church are, will be based on, and have their foundations in our beliefs, values, purpose, and mission. Our goals are established and tracked by pastor(s) and the church council. Six principles drive our decisions and implementation:

1. Seek God’s will in prayer.

2. Be in line with the Bible, our beliefs, values, purpose, and mission.

3. Relevance to our culture without compromising truth.

4. Have a consensus of the leadership and/or the church body.

5. Have resources in place before implementation. (faith can be a resource)

6. Possesses potential life-changing experiences.

We can't wait to meet you!
